Premium Visa
To be eligible for the Premium Visa, the applicant must justify a long-term stay project and provide insurance covering travel and health expenses for the entire initial duration of the stay.
To be eligible for this visa, the applicant must not engage in any activity nor enter the Mauritian labour market. Their main activity, sources of income and profits must be located outside Mauritius. They must also provide supporting documents for the application — particularly regarding the purpose of the stay, accommodation and means of subsistence — while complying with the general immigration requirements in force in Mauritius.
The Premium Visa is valid for more than six months and up to one year. It is renewable. This visa is required for anyone wishing to stay in Mauritius for more than 180 days within a calendar year. For a stay of less than 180 days, a tourist visa is issued upon arrival on Mauritian territory.

Yes, a foreign national staying in Mauritius on a Premium Visa may submit an Occupation Permit or Resident permit application while holding this visa.

Foreign nationals are authorised to acquire real estate in Mauritius provided it is located in a real estate scheme approved by the authorities, such as IRS, RES, PDS, Smart City or R+2 apartments.
